October 3rd - Mrs Lauber (gr. 5-6)

Hello, I'm Mrs. Lauber; and I am absolutely thrilled to be teaching Grade 5/6 teacher here at NCS!  My passion for education burns brightly, and it is my philosophy to ignite a lifelong love for learning into the hearts of my students. By nurturing curiosity, cultivating creativity, and promoting critical thinking, I will work to empower my students to become lifelong learners who find joy in uncovering new ideas and opportunities. While my journey as a teacher may be just beginning, I bring fresh perspectives, boundless energy, and a deep commitment to fostering a love for learning. In our classroom, Christian values are not merely concepts; they serve as the cornerstone upon which we construct character, kindness, and faith. I am honoured to be set in an environment where we can incorporate Biblical truths into all subject areas, nurture the seeds of faith and conduct ourselves with love, compassion, and resilience. I am grateful and honoured to share that I graduated from Liberty University in May of 2023, a place where I was a student-athlete playing collegiate hockey. I recently moved across the country from Virginia to Alberta with my husband and 3 LARGE dogs: Loki, Goose and Duck, and I am expecting my first child in December! Though my time at NCS may be short due to the arrival of my baby; I pray that together, we will embark on a journey of growth, discovery, and faith which will leave a lasting impact on your child’s life.
